Great western
me and my batch mates was ready to hike, greatwetern mountain . I think that day was a week end. That I hreard , tha path is very unclear , difficult and it's steep incline. It is the 7th highest mountain in srilanaka. At least 7.55 a.m we had badulla train from Talawakelle to greatweturn . It's very coludy day . We had spent least four hours to climbed it.Actually itwasso difficult hike.As wella as wonderful birds , trees , flowers and every thing is amaizing .. Though the foot prints were very difficult but full of our hike was very wonderful one๐.
Village beauty - Ahangama
I'm sitting on a rocky bench under a big beach tree with a little breeze. We humans, both in our chests and in our heads, need to feel that the hectic pace of life that comes from that exhausting feeling is healing wonderfully. It's not just a feeling, it's a reality that can be seen with the naked eye, both in the chest and in the head. Unlike in the city, there are no big houses next to each other, wall to wall. About half an acre in the middle of the land is a very nice little house, a clay kitchen and a wood stove behind the house. Kehel trees, two or three coconut trees, an orange coconut tree, a beach tree, a jackfruit tree full of saplings, and the land full of Attonia trees. Those people had a simple life separated from the border road by the canal and their chests were quite healthy. What's more, the food made by those people is amazing. Manioc Coconut Sambol Dried I thought it was a life meal with cashews .Today I saw the roasting of cashews with my own eyes. Um, that smell .... for months ..... waves that don't even catch signals in some places. However, the wind that blows the coconut branches not only exhausts the body but also fills the whole chest with waves of health. I saw this rurality, the simplicity without the false glamor, as a characteristic of those people. So, I remember the end of a beautiful experience that fills my mind even when I remember it a thousand times

Adam's peak
We travelled to Adams Peak through Kuriwita on the 22nd of December 2021.Things to bear in mind.Sripadaya or Adam's peak is place of worship for not only Buddhist for many other religious people from deferent beliefs.
Adam's Peak offers stunning views of the region: from water reservoirs, to deep valleys and rolling mountains to breath-taking waterfalls. The main attraction are the sunrise, and Buddha's footprint at the Temple (currently closed since the pandemic).
This place normally has thousands of climbers each day but given the current situation and that peak season begins mid-Dec, we were only about 10-15 climbers. We started at 2.30am and depending on your speed, it can take anywhere from 2.5 to 4 hours. There are about 6000 steps and barring a few medium ones, most are fairly steep. All the steps are in very good condition, and there are railing throughout. The gradient through the climb is pretty intense.
It was completely cloudy when we went so we had no views, but we did see waterfalls on the way down.at the moment, there are no shops/vendors along the route, except at the bottom. An intense hike, but worth it if you enjoy the activity. Be prepared for winds and cold at the top. The total hike is about 16km
Sunset
Every beginning has an end
Like unto the day, so is the nightThe creation has a beginning, and so will it have an end
The beautiful day that starts with the morning star ends in a sunset
Stages in life are timely
And as they have an inauguration, so do they have a graduation
These circumstances don't last
They all come to pass
But they are the pieces that make us who we are
Understand this: it's not about how you start
but it's about how you sunse
Kabaragala Mountain
is located at an altitude of about 1506 m above sea level and is the highest mountain in the Twelfth Range. .
If you are coming from the Nawalapitiya side you should come to Nawalapitiya Dolosbage Road and come to Meriwila Junction and come up Kovil Road.
If you are coming from Bulathkohupitiya side you can reach Dolabage via Dedugala, Pelampitiya and reach Merivila Junction. There is a hike. Not so hard. Do not go in the rainy season!
From the top you can see the Kotmale Mahaweli Stupa on one side, the Kotmale Reservoir, Ambuluwawa, Gardiella, on the other side the Sri Padasthana and the Saptakandaya Range except when it is not foggy.
Come here and go for a night camping experience. At night he can take a strange look here. One of the easy climb and a peak with better scenaries around. Hiked at night and camped on a chilled atmosphere. Just this rock has got nice and different viewpoints.
Watch your back and safety first when you're approaching the edges. And, keep the nature as it is, clean and pleasant.
Natur's Beauty
For most humans, the beauty of nature is represented by spectacular sunsets, magnificent vistas, colourful foliage and graceful wildlife.but her true beauty lies in her diversity and both the interrelationship and interdependence of hher physical forces, chemical processes, biologic systems and countless life forms.
Nature is both evolotion and exitntion ,life and death, growth and decay.she is mosaic of heat and cold, light and darness, fragility and awesom power. nature offers sunshine and hurricans, swans and maggots, rain forest and pond scum, whales and bacteria, distant galaxies and the moleclues of life.
Nature is neither good nor bad, benevolent nor jugmental, sentimental nor discriminatory. we enjoy her gifts and are subject to her whims. we are ,after all a component of her beauty, just like the golden eagle and the dung beetle.

Idalgashinna
We left my friend's home around 2.20 pm to catch the 2.30 pm train to Badulla. It was a journey of about 3 hours. Then we got off at Idalgashinna station. It's about half past five. what a joyful ride . idalgashinna railway station is nice and beautiful railway station in sri lanka ever...
idalgashinna is a small town located between haputale and ohiya ,in badulla district,is 1,615m above the sea leval.one of the most beautiful hike and filled with so many attractive viwes all around the way up there and specially at the top .Then we started our Idalgashinna Hike.there are several place to go to peak of the mountain, but sadly , not much could be see. it was very dark. the small town of idalgashinna , was coverd by a blanket of thick mist. though nothing was visible.the track was not difficult and ended near the huge water tank. from there onwards the path was not clear. as we passed the water tank on the left, a stone paved footpath led straight up to a patch of pin forest.we walked through tea bushes , while the tea estate spread out onto the left of our trekking path.taking a break, we looked back along the path that we trekked, and could see the tiny station enveloped by thick mist. the path was slepppery due to the wet dround. on our right , was the pine forest patch,
We passed the pine trees and climbed to the top of the hill.It was seven o'clock when we finished climbing the mountain. At that time we did not see anything. Because it was covered in mist. Before we got there, the people who had gone there had pitched a camping tent.Luckily we had a little space to make our tent. Then we had our country food ready. The day before, it had been raining hard in Idalgashinna and it was very difficult to light the stove.but finally we did.We had dinner and then sang with the older brothers and sisters in the other camps who came there. Then we all went to sleep at about 10 p.m.Then we got up around 5.30 in the morning to see the sunrise. we took lot of pic there. the viwe was amazing.
Galabada waterfalls
The train from Talawakele to Galagoda was at 6.30 am,So we all left Hiruni house at 6:20, Then we took four third class tickets. The train ride was beautiful (envrionment is so so attrective).very fantastic and eye catching scenery .Galboda is a waterfall in Sri lanka located near the Nawalapitiya. one of the very beautiful hidden waterfalls in sir lanka.
Two hours later we reached Galaboda station. A wonderful place . from the station there's a very easy hike for about 1 hour to falls. Road is bit old and broken . we walk on the railway track against the driection train came to go to starting point of the trail which leads to the waterfall.we had to pay rs.50 for the entrance tickets at the starting point of the trail. walking through the trail is an amazing, lot of beautiful views, even though is really fun with a nice scenes and landscapes around the jouney. after walking 2-3km we met a bautiful tea plantation.at the end of tea plantation ,As we continued walking we came across a junction, and they have marked the way to waterfallat a stone. Then after we found a hanging bridge .
we reached the falls just after 3 min walk from the bridge.we saw huts near the waterfalls. We took a lot of pic there. We were there for about 1 hour.We took breakfast but we did not have enough time to eat there bcuz The train from Galagoda to Talawakele was at 10 .30 so we left at 10.00 am.Then we got on the train and then we had breakfast there๐๐ฒ.
A beautiful trip through lush green mountains. It was a low budget trip and a wonderful trip I had never been to before๐.
hiru's place
hiru is my bset friend ๐.she lives in thalawakale . so We went to Talawakele on December 18 because we had been asked to come for a long time.As there was no direct train from Galle to Talawakele, we left Galle at 5.00 am. We bought 2nd class tickets, so it was 8.00 when we arrived in to Colombo . From there we boarded the Badulla train. It was a Poya day so it was crowded. We didn't get a seat until we got to kandy.the train experience was superb. the variety of landscape was truely stunnig as we rode through jungles, tea plantation and mountain shrouded in mist.i found myself enjoing the dazzling variance every time the train went around a curve. the scenery is fantastic. i saw beautiful green hills coverd with tea plantations, mountain, lovely old bridges, waterfalls, ect
After a journey of about five hours we arrived at Hiruni's house. Then the time is about 3 p.m.When we went there, Hiruni's mother had prepared lunch for us.The food was delicious.
So tired we took a shower and rested for about an hour. After that we also walked in Talawakele town. We stayed at Hiruni's house for four days While we were there we went to visit lots of places ,galabada waterfall, greatwesten, idalgashinna, tea castleThese are the places we went to see. Then we ate dinner and slept๐
Tea castle
We left for the tea castle around 4pm.We drove a short distance in a tuk tuk and walked the rest of the way .just opposite the devon falls viewpoint mlesan tea castle is a beautiful location.situated in a grat location sorronded by tea plantantion and amazing view. Mlesan tea castle is the world's largest tea house. a good place to have and a snack.there is so many type of tea kinds. not much guests very there.
we sat outside and enjoed the view.there are fantastic vies from the resturant over the valleys, mountains, and towards waterfalls.very clean with great views.
tea castle is a very nice place. it's have a beautiful view over the valley and the waterfalls. prices are bit high. this was a combination resturant, tea shop ,tea, musuem, all dressed up in a castle that looks as if from the 12th century.the resturant has good cakes and a good vairiation of tea.the shop have a lot of differnt teas, pots in different prices. We ordered two teapots and brownie cakes. it was very yumy.We were there for about an hour and took lots of pic.And then we came back. great place to have cup of pure ceylon tea.it was areally nice experience.

Madu River
Last April we went on a trip to Madhu river with my friends .It was a wonderful experience. seven of us went on the trip ๐....and the train was scheduled to leave at 8.30 am, so we all gathered at the Galle railway station at around 8.15 pm.๐ . Like every set , our set alos had 2 people who didn't come on time (finally they came at the last minute) later we bought tickets to Ambalangoda.
We had to take the train to Ambalangoda and from there to Balapitiya by bus. We were able to reach the Balapitiya bus stand around 10.30 am .Then we were able to reach the boat service within 15 minutes from the Balapitiya bus stand ....... From there we had breakfast ๐ฒ๐ฅ๐
We booked our boat before we go ,so we were able to start the boat ride quickly ....... We had a tour guide until the end of our boat trid. After breakfast we started the boat ride. At first I was a little scared to get on the boat๐ช.
Madu river is located in Balapitiya. There are a total of 64 islands in the river and lagoon. The islands here are called by different names. During our boat ride we saw a large mangrove forest on the river bank and a large number of birds and animals
So, our first stop on the Madu River is "Koth Duwa" Island, its with beautiful temple and Buddha statue. This temple has a very ancient history.
During our boat ride we saw the smallest island on the Madhu River called 'Satha Pa Duwa'. There is also a small building called "Hindukovila".
Cinnamon Island was our next stop, most of this island is covered with cinnamon plants. Apart from cinnamon, there are several coconut trees here as an additional crop. This place is full of cinnamon sticks. I love that scent๐ .... They showed traditional cinnamon peeling methods as well and other products made from cinnamon powder and oil. They also gave us cinnamon tea with jaggery. We stayed there for about ten to fifteen minutes and then headed for the next island.
So our last stop on the Madhu River was the 'Fish Therapy' nature treatment (this is my favorite place to visit) where the fish are kept in a natural environment and separated from the nets. So we sit around the floating platform and put our feet in to the tank ... ๐๐ the fish try to eat the dead skin and clean up the foot. first time is a difficult task. because when the fish touch the leg we feel ticklis .this was mind relaxing place๐ ๐๐. They gave us some fish feed to attract the fishes towards us.
So our whole boat trip took about two hours. We had lunch at a restaurant there .Then we left to come home. So when we arrived in Galle it was about four in the afternoon.
